I wasn't into audio music CDs and tapes. I was into digital music files even MIDI, MOD, S3M, 669, XM, IT, etc. Then, came along MP3, OGG, etc. |

The only reason I don't buy CD's is.. I would have to carry them when I move.. 3000 CD's.. or 1 external 2TB hdd.. yeah.
I always rip in 320 vbr and that works out great. If you can tell a difference there between 320vbr, flac and CD you have ears better than mine |

That comment reminded me of something. You should read this blog post by Jeff Atwood nin...
I don't buy cd's much anymore but I did buy the Foo Fighters latest last year and the remastered Dark Side of The Moon that was on sale at Best Buy. Yeah, I do everything at 320. Was excited to read this yesterday.

My first CD, which was either 1990 or 1991, was Vanilla Ice: To the Extreme. Still have it too!
To the Extreme
After that it was an MC Hammer CD. The one with Can't Touch This on it. |

My roommate in college was terribly proud of his CD collection and at the same time terribly embarassed at the small fortune he paid to accumulate it. It was like 30 or 40 CDs or something like that. I guess they were really expensive back then. He had them all lined up on the shelf in alphabetical order or something and god help you if you ever touched one of the jewel cases and left a fingerprint or god forbid touch the CD itself.
He kept giving me mix tapes which I had to pretend to listen to. |

I think my first CD purchase was Aerosmith's greatest hits. Followed shortly after by the Who Made Who soundtrack. |
