All 2 of you. No one else is playing it here, they fucked the game up and most people won't come back without an expansion.

So you only play games for fun, but you didn't have any fun beating diablo 3 THREE times before you hit the inferno difficulty... and then only complained about the end game part that actually requires a time investment. Then you play torchlight which has no light at the end of the tunnel, nothing written on the walls of the tunnel, and the tunnel floor is littered with every perfect item drop you need for an upgrade at all times. And that is now deemed "fun". OK.

I guess calling my monk a "self founder" is a bit of a stretch. I mostly geared him with stuff I found while playing my WD. My WD has some GAH items (the legendary neck i found though) from before the 1.0.4 patch, because the class was just very broken. I just got my monk physically into inferno the other day, and his gear has been... waiting for him
Before you ask... I've been collecting cold resist gear for use with the one with everything passive... and crit chance gear basically. I use deadly reach/scattered blows because teleporting all over the place with thunderclap gives me a headache. He's going to need another upgrade or 2 before he "walks right into act 2" solo... but I rarely play by myself anyway, and post 1.0.4 that makes everything insanely easier.
It seems to me like you are the one that needs some fresh air. You are obsessed with loot-whoring games, but don't like farming for loot. Hilarious!
LgFriess wrote on Sep 21, 2012, 12:39:Wrong. Oh, it will appear as though they have learned by throwing out a few patches for you. But they will NEVER learn. Under the table, they will NEVER learn, because they don't want to, because that's not in THEIR best interest for making money.
Maybe they'll pull it together for their next release after learning from their mistakes on D3. Right?
LgFriess wrote on Sep 21, 2012, 12:39:You're right. You know why? Because TL2 was specifically made to be fun. You'll see why if you play it.
TL2 is one of those games that hours disappear and you wonder what happened to the time. Goodbye weekend!
Trashy wrote on Sep 21, 2012, 12:51:You're missing out on one FUN game. I don't think you know the truth that TL2 was infact made to be FUN. You'll see.
I bought Torchlight 2, but don't think I'll play it anytime soon.
1AngryGamer wrote on Sep 21, 2012, 14:36:Runic has made it clear that no Shark in a Suit with a briefcase of money will come and buy them out. So, no, not going to happen. You have not realized yet that Runic is different than the other companies. They are a small company that actually cares about you, and has a passion for this game.Good on you, Runic. Unbelieveable really. Well done. Long live your dev team, & personnel in charge,
Until Activision or EA buys them.

I'll take a look at D3 again when they put out the SP (OFFLINE) Mode Patch.
Yakubs wrote on Sep 21, 2012, 15:33:^ This is an example of my previous statement of how TL2 was strictly made to be FUN. Diablo 3 was made to make money off you. You see?
In the first 2 hours of Torchlight 2, I found more items that were interesting than I found in all the time I played Diablo 3.
HorrorScope wrote on Sep 21, 2012, 15:59:This won't happen, because TL2 was made to be FUN. You will find your items, and they will be of high quality.descender wrote on Sep 21, 2012, 14:58:may your RMAH eat you from within in hell
I anticipate that within two weeks, complaints will begin about the loot quality drops in TL2, and the ability to go "buy out" the RNG will be sorely missed.
That will not happen and I wager an eBet.
That's OK, we got GW2, TL2, and BL2... all set.
You realize that these games (even your precious TL2) are built around... farming for loot... that is the sole purpose of playing them... right? It's certainly not because "click click click" with a kmouse pointer is enticing or terribly strategic gameplay, and it certainly isn't for the story...
Anytime a game makes me FARM for "interesting" loot it will be shelved relatively quick.
Undocumented Alien wrote on Sep 21, 2012, 16:10:If you farmed late game inferno
FAIL! You have to farm late game inferno to get good stuff in D3. Anytime a game makes me FARM for "interesting" loot it will be shelved relatively quick.
Your honor, I rest my case.
I played 90+ levels of D2 (via forced online DRM)
If you farmed late game inferno

Accomplishing the same(or comparable) feat in D2 was far, far more enjoyable
