They're not even A titles, nevermind triple A. They bang them off each year with a few months work. Really they're generally nothing more than roster changes and some cosmetic tweaks here and there. And like I said, I worked for EA for 2 years so yeah I think I know from what I speak and yeah I have a right to bash them. And given the disdain with which they treat their staff and customers everyone else has the right to take shots at them too.

I don't know - it's just me maybe - but the original idea of kickstarter has turned into "preorders" and "large donations" to established properties...

NHL in particular has improved yearly this gen since the 07 edition, NHL 13 not only has a brand new skating engine and AI logic, but a new Online GM mode as well.JaZeeL wrote on Sep 21, 2012, 17:01:Cutter wrote on Sep 21, 2012, 15:18:John wrote on Sep 21, 2012, 11:16:
Another game on Kickstarter that looks promising is Blackspace.
They worked for EA sports and have shipped tons of AAA games and they can't even list one of them? Right. Pass.
Working together for the past 7 years, Jerry Phaneuf and Volga Aksoy have contributed to award-winning AAA games, including EA Sports MMA, Madden NFL Franchises, NASCAR Franchises, Tiger Woods PGA Tour franchises, and more. With their combined holistic knowledge and high-level experience, they bring the best in art and design, software engineering, and project management.
???
Since when are EA sports games triple A titles? And they don't mention what capacity. In short, they're being very intentionally vague which is never a good sign. Hell, I worked for EA on EA sports games.

I stopped supporting kickstarter when the let penny arcade abuse it.
How was it abused? Penny Arcade was completely above-board on what people were buying. Nobody was deceived into believing they were getting something else.
Whether you believe something like that BELONGS on Kickstarter is a different argument. If you don't believe it should be on there, don't fund it.
I'm somewhat in the middle on whether it belonged or not, I just wish the PA guys had chosen to support Kick it Forward. (which, btw, almost nobody supports...)

Speaking of Kickstarter, Project Eternity is about to hit it's $1.8 million tier! I like what I hear in their updates about the game and really hope they get past $2.2 million because it adds more to the game world.
