You know, now that I'm "middle aged" (although at 43, it seems unlikely that I'll make it to 86, so this is probably a misnomer) I find it nearly impossible to sit still for 30m or so. My legs just cramp and I have to get up and stretch them.

Also, this part of the article:

Mr. Liu, who was described as a big, healthy man, was a net cafe regular. Since he would game at the net cafe two or three times a week for ten-hour sessions, nobody really expected anything so sudden and so unfortunate like this would happen.

Yeah, it's kind of hard to be both big and healthy. I'd say one of those is inaccurate, and it's probably not the big part, as that's not difficult to ascertain.
Ditto even though I am not 40 yet. I can't stay put even in my sleep. I am always moving.

How healthy can you be sitting around for 10 hour gaming sessions all the time? Not to mention if he had a desk job. Plenty of morbidly obese people out there who think of themselves of having just a few extra pounds they need to lose. I do physical work on my feet 8 plus hours a day, eat right - mostly, and work out ever other day - mostly and I'd consider myself in decent shape and still need to lose a few pounds. Most people aren't even close to that, especially marathon gamers and tv watchers.

I feel bad for thinking it, but after some of the south koreans go for like 70+ hours before dying, my thought when reading stories like this are "Pansy!"

He was described as healthy overall so gaming for seven hours isn't what killed him obviously. It was just the guy's time.

What few people know is that sitting still for 10 hours can and will be a physical stress on you, get up every hour to get a coffee, walk some stairs, roll shoulders and walk around a bit.

Gaming for 10 hours ain't a problem, it's sitting still that is.
