Command & Conquer the Ultimate Collection Announced

EA announces Command & Conquer the Ultimate Collection, a new bundle celebrating 17 years of Command & Conquer games by bundling 17 of them on one disc, all updated to operate under Windows 7 and Windows Vista. The bundle will be released this fall digitally and at retail, and in addition to all of those games, purchasers will also get early access to the beta for the new C&C game expected next year. "As long time fans of the Command & Conquer franchise, we are excited to be able to help celebrate the legacy of the series with this compilation. Our passion for this fantastic portfolio is helping drive us as we deliver the next great Command & Conquer experience next year," said Jon Van Caneghem, Vice President and General Manager, Electronic Arts.

Only really been a fan of the Red Alert series, didn't care much for the Tiberium series.

Though Kane is a hoot. Seriously does the actor that plays him not age or something? I swear he looks the same in every release.

The actor was actually an employee of Westwood for quite some time. Joe Kucan.

And no, he doesn't age.

Do ANY original fans of the series give two f*cks about the sh*t they dribble out now?
Nope. I don't think even they know what they're doing with the franchise any longer either.

I loved the C&C series and ate up anything released under that name for a long time. Tiberium Wars came out and I was like that was....ok and I still had some fun with it. Red Alert 3 was pretty much in the same boat. Then came Tiberian Twilight. I don't know what the hell happened. The game took everything that was great about the series and removed it. I wish I could remove it from existence, let alone my steam collection.
I wonder if he reads them, or if it's just for show.

The first two were pretty good. The rest, not really.
I have a nifty blue line!

Got my first decade, got my Tiberium Wars... all I need.

Always good to boot up Tiberian sun every now and then for a few games. "Death from above", never gets old!

Last chance for EA to make any profit from C&C before the release of this ... thing EA had the audacity to name "Command & Conquer".
