Not having the most retarded form of DRM merely means you're not the most retarded developer, which is hardly a glowing endorsement for your work. |

I dunno...he makes that point about a lot of games...
Yeah, but it's not like games like Sleepy Dogs has no budget to speak of. I rag on those because it's a console game first and foremost. These guys are indie so they get the slack. However, for this style of game I really won't be interested unless it actually looks nice. Hell, even City of Steam as a broswer game does a good job of a Steampunk city. |

This kinda brings up my confusion as to why there hasn't been any kind of Minecraft-type games that flesh out that type of gameplay? I had thought by now we'd be besieged with knockoffs seeing how good Minecraft itself did. Besides the excellent-idea, horribly flawed execution that is StarForge (yes, I know it's an 'alpha' but damn..) and the 2D types of Terraria and Cortex Commando, there's really nothing else out there. WTF? I want a Minecraft with piss-my-pants graphics and physics with guns and massive NPC interaction...like a 3D SimCity, Minecraft/GTA4-5, please? Thank you...

Quite a leap though, from a rogue-like to a full city builder. Considering how incredibly deep that roguelike was, it's not much of a leap at all. I have to disagree with you here. It is a great and fun game but it is a begginer's game to roguelike games. NetHack, Angband, ADOM, Dwarf Fortress, etc are all way more deep than DoD. It's still a damn fun game, I just think it's a good first step towards rogue-likes for people who never played one even with all the 3 expansions. |

Well now, didn't see this one coming. A city-builder on the Dredmor setting? Sold!
Love the little quip towards SimCity5 DRM too.
A steampunk city-builder. This one has potential to be something truly special. |
