Jay Wilson got pissed most likely because deep down he knows there's truth to what Breivik said.

That was my feeling as well. It apparently touched a nerve...

Yeah, he isn't the CEO or a VP, but he's not a grunt either. Looks like his title is "Game Director", when you are talking about a title like D3, that's a higher up. He should know his Facebook comment wasn't "private" and he should know even if true, it's not worth saying in public.
Truth is brutal. Prepare for pain.

Anyway, I had suspected that Blizzard was now being run by a bunch of greedy children and this just proves it.

Always amazes me when higher ups like Wilson can't play the politically correct game. All he had to do was say something like, "He's entitled to his opinion, X millions sales says he is in the minority." Better yet, say nothing. I mean, why should Wilson even care? He's getting paid. Idiot.

Unlike what was mentioned, he's not an exec, he's a developer. He started as QA for King's Quest 8.

Also, his comment was on Facebook, he stupidly didn't think it was going to go public. 12 people liked it, so he said it for his team and they agreed.

The answer is simple Verno, they (and Jay Wilson especially) are egoistical executive types who cant take criticism to save their pathetic lives. If this was some random dude dissing their game, fine whatever but this is the Dude who THOUGHT up Diablo. Lets give credit where credit is due, the ONLY reason why D3 sold 10 Million copies is because of Blizzard North. You would think that Jay Wilson and Co. would be a little bit more grateful and have a modicum of respect for the person(s) who is directly responsible for their success and their paycheck bonuses.

I don't know why they were so worked up over that interview, he was pretty restrained and political in his answers. He's not saying anything that most of the fans haven't said either, in fact if anything many people have been a lot harsher with their criticism. I get what he's saying too, it's nice to know that the people behind the game matter and that not just anyone can pick up a franchise and keep trucking out releases as if nothing happened.

Jay Wilson's comment especially was really low class "fuck that loser" and it appears he tried to play revisionist history and delete it after the fact.
