Some disturbing news about 1.04. It looks like Legendaries will be Bind on Equip, I hope thats fake news as I wont be playing anymore if they implement that shit.

Ya and with all their releases after they left Blizzard, it also showed that they needed Blizzard as well. Hellgate: London? Torchlight was the closest thing to cool that they could come up with and even then it was not a class a title.

So many IP zombies walking around these days...it's fucking disgusting.
What an awesome way to put it. IP zombies. Like Metal of Honor, Call of Duty, Dungeon Siege, Flashpoint, etc. Sad.

It really does get tiring having to repeat the story line again and again. The team that built D3 really didn't seem to "get" Diablo. No one ever cared about the story all that much, and it wasn't constantly in your way. It was just window dressing for the action.
I disagree. The story of D1, D2 and D2:LOD mattered very much. It was just much more subtly told, together with the brilliant cutscenes it allowed the player to sort of "connect the dots". Who is Tyrael? Is he even a force of good? What is the origin of the Sin War? Pentagrams!
Diablo3's story line can be summarised in one quote, courtesy of Butcher pre 1.03:Vegetables Bad, Meat Good...

I cant read the interview as incgamers is down at the moment but that comment from Jay is uncalled for, its also very honest as it shows how arrogant that asshat really is and how greatly he cares about the legacy of the series.

Man, so you're blaming Roper when he was just one of the "originators" (all of whom come from Blizzard North) yet not the Lead Designer or the Game Visionary.
You guys need to stop associating "public face" with "guy making every single decision." Roper likely did make all the business decisions, but that's not what doomed the game. What doomed the game is that it wasn't fun. Blame the Lead Designer and the "Visionary" for that.

Does Blizzard have an economist? I assume they do for WoW, what about for D3?

I am still playing Hellgate from time to time and D3 I dont. I had much more fun with Hellgate than I had with D3.
