WoW Adding All Race Access

Blizzard announces that all races will be available to all World of Warcraft players as of the upcoming version 5.0.4 patch for the MMORPG. The new version is currently planned for release on Tuesday, and here's word on this change it will bring:
With the release of patch 5.0.4, we’re making all the races of Azeroth playable by anyone, no matter which version or expansion of World of Warcraft they own. This includes the enigmatic pandaren, who will become available for play when Mists of Pandaria is released on Tuesday, September 25. We want the entire World of Warcraft community to be able to embrace their inner goblin, blood elf, worgen, draenei, or pandaren from the moment they step foot into the world of Azeroth.

Now, the only hard part will be choosing a name. Who will you be next?

P.S: Please stop talking about the next game you are going to play that isn't released. We keep thinking we will and then get disappointed. I hope GW2 rocks but will wait to hear.

Still wish these games would give a guy like me more to do when I can't login in 8 hours a day....

Well, I sort of hate to bring it up given how you don't really want to hear about other games, but GW2 is quite good about letting you jump in and out of the game.

For PvE, you can jump in, do some hearts, get some karma, go around looking for Points of Interests/Vistas, do jumping puzzles or just craft and then log out whenever you want to. Most of these are usually short and typically don't take long at all to do aside from some tougher puzzle areas. And Heart progress gets saved so you can log in for 15 minutes, finish half a heart and log out. Log back in a week later and you can finish the other half of that heart if you wanted to. PvE's very free-form in that regard.

On the PvP side, sPvP auto-levels you to 80 and lets you get the best gear right off the bat. Matches don't usually take all that long as well and all the glory points you get from matches are there to get or craft cooler looking gear that has no effect on your stats. Sort of like TF2 in a MMO. It even has a lobby to let you pick specific match rooms.

WvWvW lets you jump in, capture some forts, win (or lose) that and log off whenever you want without any downsides. As a bonus, do well and you'll gain exp, gold and loot that benefits your PvE character.

Only Dungeons really force you to put aside some time to complete them with friends and they're like short mini-raids from what I've played. The level 30 one from the beta lasted 2 or 3 hours with 5 people so I don't think Dungeons will require half a day to complete like Raids do in other MMOs.

In my experience with the betas, GW2 seems like a great game if you just want to jump in, have fun doing whatever the hell you want to do and then jump out if you're short on time.
