Steam News announces the release of a Windows edition of Iron Brigade, confirming last month's speculation that a Steam release of Double Fine's tower defense/shooter was in the works. The game is on sale for the next week for 20% off single copies and four-packs, and here's word:

Yeah they seem like a great bunch. From all their GB spots, they are always having a ball and obviously enjoy making their games. Hell even Tim Schafer has shown up for GB QL's and seems like a totally down to Earth kinda guy, just slightly mental that's all
Also, if you want to see more of Tim, there's always those extensive documentaries going on for their new adventure game.

I happen to like tower defense.
I love tower defense, but it's primarily a mobile genre for me, unless there's an excellent twist.
Like Orcs Must Die. That was an excellent twist (going 3rd person.)

It was answered in an hour, after 9pm at night, with the info that the devs followed up on it with the appropriate people and that trailer/videos was going to be posted.

Tell it brotha. The more tower defense, the better. Whenever yet *another* military FPS shooter comes out, I think to myself "enough fps shit jesus". Note: think, don't say, as I know some people like them, despite each one being a slightly different knockoff from the last. I was going to pass, but after seeing video of it: customizable mechs + tower defense? Hells yeah.

I happen to like tower defense.
I finished it on Xbox a while back with some friends. Definitely play it co-op, 4 players if at all possible. It's a neat twist on tower defence and has a ton of customisation but it's not nearly as fun solo. If I recall, the PC version also includes the Martian Bear DLC but for the same price as just the base Xbox version so it's a better deal on PC too.
Pretty fun little game, nice twist on Tower Defense, feels like Sanctum but with a lot more focus on the player and its machine rather than on the defense towers.

I was about to 'meh another tower defense game' this game, then I saw the screenshots. It looks pretty interesting, any demos (for PC, demo is out on xbox apparently?)
Found some gameplay videos from the xbox, when the game used to be called "Trenched" Looks pretty interesting, most likely worth 12 bucks.

Only played the demo months ago, but it seemed like a fun little game...might grab it this weekend.
