I like it. I'll be switching totally as soon as some Arms Race servers stay populated for more than a few maps. I've been playing CS for over 12 years with only a month or two break a couple of times over the duration. This iteration brings a ton of enhancements besides the obvious graphics update, but as everyone's been pointing out, it's still CS.

No matter how much you might have liked it back in the day, it was back in the day. For better or worse, shooters have changed a lot in the last 10 years and there are probably things that you just expect from one these days. Playing CS will yank you back 10 years in game design.
The gameplay is timeless though. You probably would say similar about DM right? Not every multiplayer FPS needs RPG-elements and air strikes.

If you're looking for a great game to play that has the whole cs feel...play APB...it's free and it's a blast. I call it..."CS with cars"...
They both have guns I guess. I liked APB but I don't see how it has anything in common with CS. Besides CS already had cars, 24/7 jeepathon2k/6k was a mainstay server type at one time.
edit: Haha it just occurred to me that I'll actually have to buy the game once the beta ends. Nearly 13 years of CS and this'll be the first time I actually buy it.
