There's one more hurdle to clear: municipal governments that grant the cable giants defacto monopolies. You can't lay or hang wire without their say so and if you're not going to make it worth their while they won't say so.
Google at least has the $$$ to make it happen- no big win for the little guy though. |

Comcast Sees 156,000 New Broadband Subscribers, while losing millions of television subscriptions beyond basic. Oh on that regular basic, they now include it with broadband just to pimp their numbers.
