I'm not feeling any need for a redesign since using that. No major changes, everything's just about the same but better.
Reddit's still okay but it has gone way downhill. Arguably about since that time Digg were having problems and loads of their users went over, but probably more fair to say it's just due to the expanding userbase.

And just to show that some people don't learn their lessons, the Gawker sites have been doing the same thing over the past few months. They've redesigned to the point of unusability.

I never got the whole redesign bitching... It wasn't a huge deal in my opinion. And yes I've read the top dugg articles about how it's terrible and why. Also the exposés of upvoting leagues and bots etc...
I think it just had far more to do with reddit showing up at the same time and being better. And no I don't read reddit. More of a fazed.net follower.

I can see what you mean but with Digg, the difference can be felt even to this day. Front page stories have less than half the diggs they used to get, certain websites (like totalprosports and blogspam site bullshit) seem to have nearly guaranteed front page submissions regardless of diggs which removes the whole user-submitted aspect, and most of the news is never on time unless submitted by Digg staff.
It just feels so incredibly broken with a completely different feel since V4 and I'm surprised they were even able to offload this turd for 500k.
Oh well. 500k for a flash in the pan site is still nothing to sneeze at.

on the other hand imgur is an absolutely awesome image sharing website.. if not the best
