This is nothing of the sort. KS is a way to fund products; this is a way to increase the exposure of games already in development and which already have their own funding. It's pretty straight-forward.
It gives the community more influence and gives developers a better chance to get their game released on Steam. That's the complete opposite of the dick-moves that EA is famous for.
Still, I guess some people just like to moan a lot.
