The GWJ guys were saying that they played a 4 person coop vs. 2 AI opponents, and one guy got so decimated by the AI that the other 3 had to spend the rest of the game defending him. Is the AI tweakable at all?
It took me about 3 games to figure out the most efficient build, and after that I have owned the AI pretty regularly. The Gamespy review also says the AI is good, and it is, except when it comes to moving ships and choosing weapons, which you notice after 40 hours. The difficulty setting only increases the economic bonus the AI gets, unfortunately.
