... but it IS a console game, literally a direct rip-off of zelda. I don't think "literally a direct rip-off" means what you think it means. Darksiders was inspired by a lot of games, Zelda, Metroid and God of War included. It was not a direct rip-off of any of those games. |

It was too much... that?
If you were not playing this game with a gamepad on your PC, you were only cheating yourself and probably making it way harder. If anything button mashing will just get you killed until your guy is fully leveled up.
I thought the first one was fantastic, it could have used more of the trials areas from the first or second area (playing on hard those trials were BRUTAL with very little moves to use, tons of fun). Definitely looking forward to playing the next one, but between the recent habit of games being $20-$30 cheaper after the first month or so... and the ugly habit of them being broken and unplayable at launch... there's no way pre-orders are ever gonna be worth it any time soon.
The last thing I care about is promised DLC. Remember Rage? Yeah. |

I bought and played some of the first Darksiders, and I just couldn't get into it. It felt too "consoly" to me: gameplay too simple and too button-mashy and too God-of-War.
It definitely felt like a port, but it was a fairly solid one. |

No amount of incentives will ever get me to pre-order a game. There's no reason to, since there are infinite digital versions available instantly from the word go, and no way of predicting if a game that should be good will instead turn out to be a bug-ridden disaster. I'm interested in Darksiders 2, but it's a wait and see for sure.
Well, I was invited to get in on a Torchlight 2 4-pack, but $15 is a much smaller risk than $60.
