So far the patches have been two steps forward, one large step back and I hope with the next patch they ditch this attitude of nerfing anything "fun" that can be abused. Diablo is an ARPG first and foremost, they need to remember that.
I've noticed the same thing. I think if they wanted to nerf attack speed a hidden modifier would have actually been better because attacking fast is FUN.
Exactly. If they want to make IAS less desirable they could pump up other stats and add some more interesting modifiers. Sometimes I think the majority of the team was actually WoW people who don't like ARPGs or at least don't understand what attracts others to them. I don't even understand why this game needs super serious progression curve, tight economy balance and all that. Diablo 2 had none of that shit, it was about as broken as a multiplayer game can be and people still played the shit out of it for a decade after killing Hell Baal.
Their RMAH will make money no matter what, just by virtue of existing people will use it because if nothing else the world has many people who are bad with money. They don't really need to go to these extremes.
This game doesn't sound fun at all. What it sounds like is a fix for addicts. I hope that when a true server emulator is available that it works with the base (unpatched) version of the game.
Nah the thing is that it can be a ton of fun but often times its mired with this other junk that keep making headlines on fansites.
