I must be the only one here who enjoyed the game. oh well. I didn't expect anything ground breaking or new, just a good game, which is what I got.
Don't get me wrong, there were aspects of it that were definitely enjoyable. The combat was pretty decent and there were some interesting weapons. But there were just too many annoyances for me to like the game - the horrible texture quality, the invisible walls, the atrocious autosave system, the mission hub system, the gimmicky AI, the insta-death moments if you wander off the beaten track, etc.
From all the media put out I was expecting a more real-world Borderlands. Unfortunately it seems that every single feature was an issue with the implementation and the performance issues at launch were unacceptable. id Software blamed everything on AMD but RAGE is still terrible with nVidia cards, which means it's the game at fault.
