If he really did that then that surely would have caused a lot of problems. I agree with him about D3 not having an offline mode which really sucks. I don't have a broadband connection so I do not want to get online just to play a SP game. If they don't remove that requirement I think I'll just skip this one.. I would have to upgrade my PC anyways just to play it.

Whatever happened to purchasing a game?

Now not only do we pay the same price for leasing the game - but blizzard monetizes the trading of items between players.

How far does greed go?

I just love all the hype for midnight launches but us in EST can WOW GET OUR COPY AT MIDNIGHT... but have to wait another 3 hours to play.

That kind of kills the entire point of a midnight launch.

Despite my previous comment, I wholeheartedly agree. The game is great fun and the issues will be fixed. Probably before the weekend.

Unacceptable launch. Great game. 2 different things.

read the eula on any older game this is exactly what you are paying for. An tentatively unlimited rental of the software to be used as inteneded they reserve the rights to cancel your rental at any time. not exact words but 99.9% of games have this on their eula

Although I've only shortly been the victim of the Error 37 -- which fixed itself after ctrl+v spamming my password -- I find all of it unacceptable. People still defending Blizzard are... ugh, worth a shot in the neck?

You see, it's not just the login that sucks about the always-online DRM debacle. Even in the heroes list the game feels laggy. Last night, the game completely ignored my selection of another hero. Instead, I had to completely reroll the hero (which was still level 1 anyway) in order to select it. Apart from that, ingame my character was often pulled back as if struck by uber singularity due to mass latency. To top it off, I got disconnected right after a boss dropped a rare item -- before I could pick it up!

The big fucktard punchline is that this all occured in a SINGLEPLAYER game.

I would've been OK with the constant online stuff if I didn't notice anything about it, like in Heroes VI. One would've assumed Blizzard could pull it off even in the launch-period.

Blizzard already has your money, Mr. Lemming. What did you learn today?

I learned that some people, like yourself, can't take a joke. I have never seen error 37 actually. Only error 12 but turns out that can be fixed by changing the battle net password.

I also learned that some people, like yourself, are so sad and pathetic that they have to belittle other's game choices so they feel better about their pathetic little life.

So you are saying it is ok to give 60$+ for a overhyped shitty spygame and have to figure out how to get it to work...i just like how the gamers of today has turned out Clown

I am sorry but there is no excuse for having rolling outages and 2+ hour maintenance on launch day. This isn't an MMO for crying out loud. Shouldn't they have data from both the pre-order statistics and beta stress test to tell them how to configure the servers. Apparently they stuck their head in the sand and did nothing to prepare.

It is totally unacceptable to launch a game that isn't ready. The industry really needs to get its act together.

If this was an MMO the subscriber would have atleast been given an compensation in the way of a free day(s). Considering this isn't an MMO I think the least Blizzard should do at this point is give everyone that activated the game this week an in-game item of some type.

I vote that they make a champion monster called Error37, It should look a little bit like Bobby Kotick, wear a suit and tie and if it hits you with its briefcase you get disconected from the game, cant log in for an hour and lose at least half your level.

Is there anyway to change the size of the interface? I swear it takes up half the screen. It's driving my OCD nuts, given the fact that I scaled the interface down to about 20% in every other game I play. There is no reason why buttons you can see perfectly fine at a fraction of their size have to be so big. And that minimap, ugh!

I find a lot of things are way too small. A beta build a few patches ago had a much better skill selection and character sheet section. This "details" bar feels like Im looking at an excel spreadsheet.

I bought it largely for co-op but also for singleplayer. The online requirement isn't an issue for me. However, not being able to play the game is certainly not acceptable.

I finally managed to get in a three hour play session but only nearly a day after launch. So far I'm really enjoyed the game, though I played the beta and knew what to expect. Even so, I have to say that my experience has been significantly soured by the connectivity issues.
