Out of the Blue

It was a semi-productive weekend here at the BlueTower, but I'll call it a win, just because we solved the coffee supply crisis that we ran into at the end of last week. We were out Friday morning, so I fixed myself a cup of tea, which I guess still left me a little caffeine-deprived, because later in the day when a huge headache set in, I was fuzzy enough that I didn't recall the coffee incident and didn't realize another cup of tea would have set me right, which the aspirin I took did not. I guess the surprise is how much of a jolt I still end up getting from the coffee, considering I have settled on a total of one cup a day, but the fact that my mug is 16 ounces and my coffee is strong enough to take the paint off your car are factors in this as well.

i keep hearing people saying that caffeine is addictive so thats why they are trying to get rid of it; but is there really any ill effects with caffeine directly (not sugar) outside addiction? never mind what happens if you dont have coffee after being addicted, whats really wrong with a mug a day?

(btw: Hoop's lessened knee & elbow pain almost certainly had nothing to do with the caffeine cut; it would have gone away even if he had tea/coffee; 6 months is enough time for these sort of things to heal itself).

While I can't speak for anyone else, I can personally vouch that caffeine can cause other health complications (which I'd rather not describe in detail). My doctor has told me I need to avoid it as much as humanly possible. So I drink a lot of water (with flavor packets, although anything that says "energy"? Caffeine!) although I sometimes sneak a pop at lunch.
