I never got into the Weird Worlds demo, although I had bought the first game (Adventures in Infinite Space). I had a major problem with the combat, where critical information (damage, shield levels) was only available by mousing over ships. Did they ever revise that? It was basically unworkable for me since you're also using the mouse to fly the ship, and what little strategy there is depends on knowing when to hit and when to run.
