Out of the Blue

We're apparently getting an odd one-day heatwave here in the northeast today. This is poor timing, as there are going to be some miserable runners in today's Boston Marathon, but of course, misery is part of the fun in a marathon. This is nothing compared with the weather in the middle of the country, where they've been having tornadoes. Stay safe out there!

I love Firefly...but stop trying to bring it back. It would never live up to fan expectations and it would cheapen the awesomeness of what was a great show.

apparently Fillion got fat or something too...no thanks.

Yeah, but didn't they kill off some of the crew/cast in the movie?

To me, the series was miles better than the movie. And yeah, with the (pointless) deaths, I'd prefer to pretend the movie didn't happen.

Number 11 of Nerd Dreams that will never come true (As a corollary to number 5). This show was just so great. Maybe if they could re-cast it, and HBO funded it, seeing as SyFy doesn't really want anything to do with SF these days. Then it could be even more gritty and realistic than the original, seeing as they could make it R-rated.

Well, a guy can dream, can't he?

Ugh, I'd still GLADLY take the weather up there or even dodge the occasional 'air whirlpool' than have to endure yet another horrible summer down here in FL. Much like the rest of the country, we went from winter to summer within' a couple weeks. A/C's been on for the last month or so. Granted, it has been nice the last few days but today started muggy so I'm pretty sure it'll end downright uncomfortable. And before anyone decides to tell me I complain too much, you try to get some @#%^! sleep at night when the air is dead still and the humidty and temp hover near the dewpoint. It's impossible, I tell you! And only six more months of it to go...

Anyone else noticed that the great blog post by Abrash this weekend is suddenly gone from Valve. I was about to add it to my RSS feed today. Wonder what happened there.

Yeah, spent Sunday morning in the closet with my wife and dogs, as the sirens went off for about 40 minutes straight. Damn tornadoes.

Yeah, it's supposed to hit 24 here today and then back down to 10+/- degrees for the rest of the week. Boo-urns!
