Skyrim is a damn hard immersive experience to beat with (roughly) the same settings. Skyrim isn't an action game. It's gameplay compared to Rune is very slow. Skyrim hasn't any multiplayer features at all. |

Rune was an awesome game. I enjoyed the singleplayer but it was the multiplayer where it really shone. It didn't quite have the graphical quality of Severance: Blade Of Darkness but the gameplay more than made up for it.
I can definitely see a sequel working, as it is a very different style of game to Skyrim. I just hope that they can get the funding to do it justice. |

This game was hella fun in multiplayer and was surprisingly deep once you took the time to learn it. This could be really cool. |

I found this game to be pretty dull. The fighting was way too simplistic.
Why can't someone do a Kickstarter to get a Blade of Darkness sequel made? I'd much rather play that than Rune 2. |

I played the SP far more than the MP, but it was not that impressive. It was not terrible, but it was not amazing and it kind of wore you down with its tediousness over time.
I would almost think they would be better off as a small budget/kickstarter title than a full sequel. And I already played the RPG version: Skyriim. Preferring something new, but taking this over another BW title, Ray |

I recall not being overly impressed with it. Wasn't bad, just not really good. |

BY ALL THAT IS HOLY YES!
I loved rune. The single player was ok, but the Multiplayer was crazy fun. To this day you can find many servers up with people playing the game. I used to own face in that one lol. I played pro Quake 2 and took many of the strategies from that to use in Rune, like timing item spawns. I remember one time using the giant 2h axe that froze people and I had the rune drops on one map timed so well I was able to essentially permanently freeze people. By the time the freeze began to wear off, I had full rune power again to re-apply it. Obviously people I did that too hated it, but me and my friends would laugh our asses off.
Rune 2, bring it on! |

Oh this would be a good one, would love to see another one! My only complaint from the original, the underground levels was way too long. The above ground battles were great. |
