DA2. Played demo, what I found how it worked best was to scrap pause base and play it full action. To me it played great that way and the spawns in that case were not a problem. HOWEVER there was a legion of players that were ready for more pause base action and spawns and such broke that.
That's the beef though. DA2 was a sequel to DA:O (a CRPG), not a Devil Must Cry game or something. Action bits aren't even necessarily unwelcome but they don't blend well with a tactical CRPG. The action bits really fall apart on harder difficulties as well, Nightmare had to be patched even because of the issues with retarded spawning and waves.
At some point they have to stop trying to appeal to the masses and just make a game. Whether that's CRPG fans or Call of Duty players is besides the point, at least it will be a pure experience instead of this silly mishmash again.
