World at War at 29.99 a week after it was released. To bad no one plays that one anymore - thought it was done pretty well.

Actually there are still a lot of people playing that one online, on the PC. Not sure about the xbox. Most xbox cod gamers move on to the new COD when it comes out. That's where Activision makes their profit.

I hvae them all on PC - but maybe I play at the wrong times - find it hard to get a good game going on WaW.

The even earlier COD games were even better gameplay - closer to DoD.

Except those have terrible story No. Have you looked at story of recent Final Fantasies? Its like a pre-schoolers dream come through. No coherence, no serious topics, nothing even remotely mature. Or it sinks in the opposite direction, too much boobies, too little anything else.

When I played Alan Wake on the xbox I thought the game was nice but it wasn't special. If they had taken away all weapons and left only the flashlight, now that would elevate the horror of the game a lot.

Activision "sales" aren't that great.
It depends on where you shop. Amazon has had COD:MW2 for $5 for the past week. It's never been that cheap on Steam. Amazon has also had MW3 for $29.99 in the past which is less than Steam's current sale price and its historical low.

Activision does have good sales, but it just doesn't have them on Steam apparantly.

Yup, although I had already rented MW2 on xbox and beat it 2x in a few days and played MP for 4 hours - figured I could add it to the collection for 4.99.....

Cheapest COD I have bought, the next one being World at War at 29.99 a week after it was released. To bad no one plays that one anymore - thought it was done pretty well.

Its very interesting looking at your post history. Almost all your comments are negative, or calling people morons.

Amalur has completely consumed my weekend. Fantastic game. It wouldn't be nearly as fun without its kick-ass combat system, I suppose. Best action-RPG combat system ever.

If you believe that, may I suggest you play more action-RPGs?

To each his own.... oh, no doubt about it. I was enjoying the Hell out of KoA:R and forgot to cancel my JA:BiA pre-order on Steam. So glad I didn't. I took a break from KoA:R and booted JA:BiA and I am having a lot of fun with the game, warts and all.

well I like the game. It's kinda like what if Stephen King fell into one of his own stories. If you like that kind of story I think it's worth thirty bucks.

I'm surprised to see Alan Wake that high, considering how long it's been since the console release, I didn't think that many people would have been waiting for, and interested in, a port (or a port back).

I'm sure the $30 price tag (as low as $20 if you bought it from GMG during their sale) was the main appeal. That's the reason I bought it.
