Those emoticons aren't the same sex, are they?

If they aren't, as a far left liberal loony, I'm upset that they are enforcing gender stereotypes. Of course the blue one is the biological male and the red the biological female. This ignores the obvious separation between social gender and biological gender. Also notice that it's the implied female who initiates the hug, illustrating our society's prejudicial ideas about female clinginess.

Yeah, but Kosumo is a dude, and he initiated the hug, so I just assumed he had a really bad sunburn.

There's ointment for that y'know...

I don't know, look more like two TF2 players with the red one giving the blue one a reach around ..... it's pretty gay to me, looks like those emoticons are going to hell.

But I don't care.

No, no NO. Take it from a right-leaning liberatarian fundamentalist like myself: the pink one is a pinko-commie bastard and the other is an illegal alien signified by his green hue (it's NOT blue!). They're making a pact to destroy America from within and sealing it with a hug.

Interestingly enough, in many places I'm considered a right-wing extremist, including occasionally around here, where people think I bend to the whims of corporations.

I tend to be middle of the road, and it's the true extremists that are calling me one or the other. Note that I didn't try an intervention for you, because I believe you are beyond redemption. No chance to help you be a decent person, and no one really cares.

Simply put, you've said repeatedly that you feel (or, sometimes, that it's just your wife that does, this relates to my third point below) that homosexuals do not deserve the same benefits and life that you deserve.

Well, not that he'll be reading either of these posts ( ), but in fairness, this he hasn't said. In fact, in this very thread, his words were: "Personally I find the whole idea of homosexuality disgusting, but if it makes other people happy, it isn't hurting anyone, and it's not in my face to the point of being obnoxious, I can't really oppose it. If I'm honest with myself, I can't come up with any good reason that gay people can't marry if they want to. "

Mostly in this thread, he's been putting forth a defense of the Christian position, without actually subscribing to the Christian position itself (or, at least, that's my understanding of it). That is to say he's been putting for an idealized Christian position, as there are plenty of Christians who missed the sermon on "Love thy neighbour".

Listen, Prez, I'm posting this for your benefit. Consider this an intervention:

You are a bigot
I'm sure you're too afraid to read this, but if you are your feathers are ruffled by this. The definition is A bigot is a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices, especially one exhibiting intolerance, and animosity toward those of differing beliefs, and I think that covers many of your posts on this board, but mostly here.
Simply put, you've said repeatedly that you feel (or, sometimes, that it's just your wife that does, this relates to my third point below) that homosexuals do not deserve the same benefits and life that you deserve. This is bigotry. Much like an addict, only addicted to hate instead of a substance, this can only be cured by first admitting it. Look back over your posts - you keep saying homosexuals do not deserve the privileges that come with marriage that you and Dawn deserve. It's bigotry.

You are acting like a hypocrite
What's amazing is that you then turn this into you and your wife being the victim. You complain about religious intolerance. No one here is being intolerant towards, religion, we're being intolerant to religion being used to justify intolerance. You then use the "don't subscribe" line, which is one of the most ironic things I've seen on this board.

You are acting like a coward
When you reached the irrational end of your rants, and when many of us backed you into a corner, you took a coward's way out. You said "I'm smarter than all of you, that's why I know homosexuals are inferior" and you blocked those with different viewpoints.

Prez, these are not insults. This is a genuine attempt to help you.

I just switched to Chrome, so no, I'm not sure of anything. I'm just going to use Firefox. It doesn't seem as good, or stable, but it gets the job done.

Well in that case you probably don't

You are a whiney little child who thinks he's an adult. I'll have nothing more to do with the likes of you on this forum, and I certainly could not care one iota about what you think of me or my wife. Going back to Firefox now so I can avoid any and all future stupidity from you. There are plenty of actual adults who debate maturely and intelligently here for me to have to bother with you for another second. Good riddance.

It's amazing the superiority complex you have after unironically saying "if you don't subscribe to it don't follow it" in discussing how religious conservatism relates to gay marriage while taking the side of those who don't subscribe to homosexuality yet want to force others to follow their own whims.

Seriously.

And then defending RailWizard. You deny your wife's hatred, no surprise you fail to see your own massive shortcomings and instead stick your head in the sand and claim you're smarter than everyone else.
