Why yes, it IS kinda like that. I wonder why.
Incidentally, had ubisoft had decent customer service and responded to them properly on the initial contact requesting a reset, then none of this would have blown up, even though the DRM has limited activations. So its not just a failure of the DRM, its a failure of customer service.
That leads me to expect that if I ever had to call ubisoft about a DRM problem, the response would be "
screw you, buy the game again suckah."
