The DLC were pretty good.

I think the fan favorite was probably Old World Blues.

I liked them all but I got them for cheap on a Steam sale. Maybe people who paid full price have other opinions.

I picked up most of them not on sale, all except GRA. And at full price they were worth it. Fun without a doubt. OWB reminded me of that whole silly assed FO2 side of things and I liked that a lot. Personally I can't wait to see what they kick out next for FO4.

Played the last three. Honest Hearts and Old World Blues were the best. Very meaty and satisfying for DLC. Bethesda says there won't be any expansions for Skyrim. That's a shame but I can live with DLC only if it's on par with New Vegas's.

Yeah OWB was the best. However, I haven't got Lonesome Road yet, was that any good?

Beth has promised full proper DLC for Skyrim, on the level of each being a small expansion and not half assed DLC. Not exact words but close enough. fingers crossed!

Shivering Isles was fantastic for Oblivion, we need some of that style for Skyrim.

After finally playing through New Vegas and all its DLC I can only hope Bethesda is smart enough to let Obsidian develop Fallout 4.

Genuinely enjoyed some of the story writing elements in FO Vegas

Gameplay was mostly MOTS from FO3, for better or worse.

I stopped playing Fallout New Vegas before I found out about the 4GB launcher and my experience was heavily influenced by the poor stability of the game. Did the 4GB launcher make a huge difference in this respect? If so, I may have to revisit the game someday (but I'm not playing Dead Money again).

It was shorter than the previous two and little more monotonous - and VERY linear. But I'm still glad I bought it at full price. Definitely get it if you find it on sale.

Loved this game so much, the stories and writing were better than Bethesda's F3 roll out. The DLC I touched on but never got into, burnt out on the game once it ended.

Definitely torrent this. I think Bethsoft has enough of my cash with me buying the Premium Collectors F3 and Obsidians collectors editions. The games were buggy at first, had several patches and issues, so that is my reward for being their beta tester. Agree or not, I don't give an F.

I had planned on waiting to buy this edition, but a Steam sale offered it for about half the price, so I scooped it up. Now that I've finished Skyrim, I'm just now starting FNV, and other than the forced faction choices, I really like it so far. I feel like I'm playing Fallout 2.5(not surprising since a lot of the Obsidian devs are former Black Isle employees) and it's almost a natural resumption of the feel of Fallout 2, which I played through twice.

I'm just barely out of the starting town, and looking forward to a dusty adventure. Any recommendations on where to go or who to kill?

There aren't really any stability issues anymore outside of the usual problems with codecs that have plagued all games built in the netimmerse engine. But that can be gotten around using the shark007 codec pack if you're using win7.

I would recommend up upgrade your textures to make it look even better!

You can try to make a break for New Vegas if you feel lucky. It's better to follow the road the first time through though. If you see cazadores you went the wrong way. LOL.

My advice: Don't install codec packs. They cause endless problems. If you need 1 or 2 codecs, install those.

Even the shark webpage talks about codecs:
When dealing with codecs, more does not equal better.
Having the least amount on your system is the best configuration.

In general, I suggest VLC for playing stuff, it doesn't need any codecs, doesn't install codecs, and it plays just about everything. Yes, I know that doesn't apply to games that need a certain codec.

Are you thinking about the 4gb launcher thats been in bluesnews recently for Skyrim?
