Damnit any news about the dx11 patch? The game looked better when I ran it in dx11! Too bad there are those gamebreaking stutters on that setting.
I thought Hollywood had hit rock buttom. Then this happened.

Oh it's very much the opposite, you make me laugh you lying crazy weirdo. Don't let it go to your head though, you occupy very little thought time with me or probably the rest of society that you alienate on a daily basis.

They should rename it "Batman: Punch Thugs in the Face." I'd gladly pay full price for that too.

I'm just saying it's pretty rewarding when those guys show up in body armor so you get to do the "beatdown" combo. Especially after a bad day at work.

Yeah, the combat in the game, while really quite simple, is soooo satisfying. I love the slo mo zoom ins on doods getting raped by Bats.

especially when the GOTY edition will release at 29.99 and then quickly drop to 25 bucks. It does look like a great game in any case.

Eh, it's just challenge maps. If those aren't your thing, then you're not missing much at all. In my case I enjoy the challenge maps as a sort of arcade game style "get the high score" departure; but the only reason that I have the Robin package is that I bought the game for the PS3 and got it as a pre-order bonus. Such DLC is not meaty enough to be worried about, in my opinion.

DX11 isn't just about the better effects, it's also much more efficient. You can run higher settings than DX9 and still get the same or better framerate.

That was my plan... then Origin had it on sale for $25 yesterday.

Damn you, EA.

The game looks great in DX9. Yes, it's a shame that DX11 isn't playable yet (at least for Nvidia cards), but the experience is still great on DX9.

Personally, I knew I would play through the game at least twice, and by the time I'm ready to play through the story a second time, the DX11 issues will be fixed.

I just finished the story this weekend, and it was even better than the first, which is saying a lot. I was a bit worried that throwing so many side characters into the mix would dilute the story, but it works. Rocksteady should have made sure DX11 worked out of the box, but one major goof won't detract my enjoyment of an otherwise stellar game. I really hope the series continues.

It's a good game and they fixed some annoying niggles with the combat systems from the first game, but I definitely prefer the design bent of the first one more. There it felt like they only included what was necessary and didn't include anything that didn't belong. You had enough freedom to navigate the environment to make it feel like you were in control, but it was locked down enough to really let you take it all in. With arkham city, it's like they just included everything they thought of. Some of it is great, but it's like one building is about as interesting as the next. It may work better for some people, but I'm not a fan of the 3 ring circus approach. I am liking the story a bit more though. The storyline feels a bit more logical.

Not interested in DLC. When I finish I will rather move on to the premier content of another game rather than the sloppy secondary content for this one

Arkham City is amazing so far. I loved Asylum, but its easily better. I also encountered a false ending yesterday that blew my mind. It was on par with Ariel dying. The game rolled credits and everything.

I don't know what video card you have but ATI released new drivers that allow you to play in Dx11 mode and I believe Nvidia released new drivers as well, but I don't know what they do.

nVidia's new driver only updates their precious PhysX for the game.

I'm not too familiar with the Saints Row series but I always assumed it to be like GTA, and I'm really not into open world games (even Skyrim is driving me nuts like that.) I'll look into it though.

As you can see, I have more games than I have time to play (with all of maybe 20-30 of them having ever been completed) http://steamcommunity.com/id/exorcism/games?tab=all

SR3 runs great in DX11, and is deserving of your time!

Great, while the console kiddies are on their way to their second DLC, I still can't play it on my PC. (I'm not going to play it in DirectX 9 as long as there's a DirectX 11 option, and I have other games to play in the meantime... Wish Skyrim wasn't DirectX 9 too. Bah! Consoles.)
