A semi-recent trailer from Risen 2: Dark Waters features the developers from Piranha Bytes discussing their upcoming pirate-themed action/RPG sequel. The clip is partly shot in their offices and partly on the set of Gilligan's Island, using translations and subtitles to help us understand the German discussion of creating the game world. I really think that comparing any Elder Scrolls game to a Gothic game and claiming they're similar is kind of insulting to Piranha Bytes.
Both games are quite different. Again, if you like Oblivion, I don't care. That's great. If you can't see the difference between them, that's okay too. I'm just stoked that Risen 2 is coming out and I hope they don't fuck it up and try to dumb it down. That's all. Carry on...
