I hope they make the gameplay more interesting, I really want something a little new.
Why change something that is already good? Also, people are already used to the gameplay from the previous titles of the series--would be annoying to change that now.
This kind of attitude is the reason we see the evolution of graphics but little evolution in gameplay.

Why would anyone want massive gameplay changes in a series of games. People want evolution in NEW IPS.

Hmm finally some footage that impresses. All looks great and true to Max Payne except for that meso-america stuff where he looks like an alcoholic woman abuser. Too bad that's the major part of the game, ffs.
Playing: Skyrim, World of Warcraft.
Future: Dead Space 3.

Looks like we'll be able to play in more periods of Max's life than in Brazil; there were a few scenes that looked very much like New York.

Have to admit I was put off by the direction this game took at first, but now I really want to play it.

Mmmm those gunfights are looking very nice.

Actually had me recalling the originals, I think I had forgotten how much fun the hong-kong style gun fights are.

Apparently 4 months away or so?

I wish these guys would make a PC game just once.

Anyway, it's nice to see you can shoot the glass just like Karl.

Really hope they don't sacrifice tight and responsive controls in order to make fancier animations. GTA4 and RDR did that and both games suffered for it. Max Payne is a straight up shooter so it would suffer even more.

It looks pretty damn awesome to me. There's a few scenes here and there where the animation looks too quick (aka, like the first Max Payne, where characters apparently weighed twenty pounds), but most of these firefights look really damn spectacular. Especially the way the Euphoria engine makes all the baddies twitch when they get shot.

I haven't looked this forward to shooting some baddies since SoF.

Sequels should be about technical (engine) improvements and game play refinements. That's the way it used to be. It used to be that you were virtually guaranteed that a sequel to a game was better than the original.

That seems to be exactly what they're doing here, and it looks pretty damn good. If the they didn't say anything, or show Bullet Time segments, and the character models weren't recognizable, I would recognize that as Max Payne immediately.

I'm both happy and somewhat disappointed to see them toning down the 'asshole physics' that Max Payne 2 had; knocking bodies around and sending them flying just by continually pumping bullets into them in bullet time was admittedly one of the more entertaining aspects I found the second game had, though it did make the game feel even more like it was from the "Hey! Look! We have physics!" era.

Which it was entitled to at the time, mind you.

why would you look to a series that you find boring for something interesting and new? you might as well hope the new jame's bond movie is a much better romantic comedy than all the others.

Frickin incredible. Animation is one of the few elements of game graphics technology that still has noticeable room for improvement. Especially when crap like Skyrim keeps being release I think my favorite is just how well max animates as you aim all around him.

That was some of the BEST gun play & animations I've seen in a game. It looks simply amazing. Rock Star looks like they have done it yet again!

The sheer number of bullets taken by the character is somewhat incongruous with everything else.
