This is all very disappointing. I got the impression that the reviewer was being overly critical in places, seeing as how a lot of the complaints he has could apply equally to other games, including Borderlands, which he praises in his review. Still, there is quite a bit of his review that touch on what sound to be genuine problems with the game. I expect things will only get worse when he reviews the PC version, as by many accounts it's a very lazy port.
Still, the game isn't off my wishlist - I'm just not paying 60 bucks for it. I got DNF for 10 bucks; I expect it might not be too long before I see a sale for Rage.
The interviewer is stupid and is being an asshole about the whole thing. When you look at most games there are always similarities. Let’s take a COD and BF series of games; they all look similar to me. You have the same things going on in each of those games.
The interviewer is just being a total asshole about this.
I’ve played all three of the games, and I never once said oh look, this looks just like Borderlands. In fact I never once got that impression. Fallout either. None of the game sport anything the same except they are all post-apocalyptic in nature.
I never once found a Dead city like in RAGE. Borderlands have none of those. And the closest thing in Fallout was Washington. But again, they all look different.
I mean, what is a post-apocalyptic city supposed to look like? That’s what I want to know from the interviewer. I need an explanation and not just some rhetoric and opinion based BS from him.
Totally Lame Interview on their part.
