Just because the music for the trailer sounds similar to the original Syndicate does not make this game have any resemblance at all. Also judging by the music artist they went with, I have a feeling this will be marketed as a console FPS catered to Halo/COD kiddies with a punk/rage influence (the new goth types...)

I dunno. This just doesn't look all that great. Seems pretty gimmicky. Some obvious persuadertron areas, basic run-n-gun gameplay with scripted events. A few weapon options that may or may not also end up being very situational gimmicks. I just don't see anything that looks very interesting. The gameplay actually reminded me a lot of Bulletstorm. That was probably due to the kinds of guns and all the sliding and kicking.

I still think it was a bullshit move to call this Syndicate, but I'm willing to let the game live or die based on its gameplay. I'm gonna need to see a lot more to convince me that it'll be worth buying.

Yup. I never did like the original show all that much, but I surprised myself by becoming addicted to the new one. I am almost done with the first season, and I just recently realized that there will be a new Doctor for the second season. I am very disappointed - Eccleston is a brilliant Doctor and the chemistry between him and Billie Piper (love her!) is exquisite!

This is coming from someone who has never played Syndicate. It wouldnt run on my 486 :p

Go get the mp3 of the facebook page, pretty much the entire song is that Syndicate theme. Just with dubstep bass wackyness over the top of it. But the breakouts with classic Syndicate goodness shine through.

But it definately brings back the memories.

The game itself looks actually interesting. But they really should call it anything else and let the Syndicate name alone.

Okay, I gotta admit, that trailer was pretty damn awesome.

However:

1) What does this have to do with Syndicate? There was basically nothing Syndicate in there apart from a sorta-persuadertron segment.

2) That outline effect on bodies after the agent kills someone is literally dirt-fucking-ugly. I hope that's a placeholder, because otherwise the guy who designed that should have his hands chopped off.

But it looks cool otherwise.

You had me at Starbreeze. These are the same guys that developed Riddick, one of my all time favorite FPS.

Pretty damn good. Taken on its own, it's a damn good announcement trailer. I just personally wasn't getting the "Syndicate vibe" from it all that much. There were hints, so maybe this is a trailer more for the people who don't even know what Syndicate (the original) was. The music wasn't too bad; it just didn't fit the trailer.

I'm far from sold on the "Syndicate" angle, but all in all it has improved my outlook on this "reboot" by a significant amount.
