Ubisoft announces that TrackMania 2: Canyon, is now available via digital distribution from the TrackMania Website, offering the next installment in Nadeo's PC online racing series. Here's the launch trailer, and here's word:

No, mainly because they built a huge platform to support the game outside of existing services. It will supposedly have built in track distro for track makers and stuff like that so lack of Steam isn't a big deal to me. It does seem like they want to bring it to Steam but they couldn't figure out how to make the infrastructure work within it in time for release.
