Oh boy do I remember the Matrox Millenium. Mine came with Destruction Derby, which I loved...but the box in which the video card came in had this freaky looking clown face on it.
If the box had a clown face then you had a Matrox Mystique and not a Millennium, you n00b!
The Millennium came out first and it was always the "professional" 2D card with basic 3D functionality while the Mystique was the gamer variant.
A couple years after WC3, a lot of people in the mid 90s had a Millennium for 2D (Windows/Office) plus a 3Dfx Voodoo for gaming. The Mystique became completely useless once the Voodoo and other better 3D cards came out because Voodoo > TNT > ATI Rage 3D Pro > Mystique.
Ahh yes! You're right, it was a Matrox Mystique.

Sheesh, much time has passed since then. The Mystique was an upgrade to an old Diamond video card with 512k vram. I can't recall at the moment the exact Diamond model that card was though. I do recall replacing that Mystique for a Diamond v770 AGP TNT 2 just to play SHOGO: MAD.
*reminisces*
You are right about the Millennium proliferating our school office computers. Twas a nice card when it came out!
I enjoyed WC: Privateer more so than WC3. Never tried WC4 though. Maybe after it hits GOG I'll pick that one up.
Don't ever mention My Buddy (and me)...what's with clowns and dolls.
