Wing Commander 3 on GOG.com

GOG.com announces they now offer Wing Commander 3: Heart of the Tiger, the third installment in the Wing Commander series of space combat games. This comes with a wide array of bonus materials, which are outlined on Wing Commander CIC. This is the first of the FMV Wing Commander games, here's a bit:
You are Luke--er--I mean Col. Christopher "Maverick" Blair (played by Mark Hamill). After the destruction of Concordia, you are transferred to an old space ship carrier the TCS Victory, by the order of Admiral Tolwyn. Your mission is to destroy the catlike Kilrathi for good and ensure the survival of humanity. Without delving into spoilers, you are up for yet another episode of this epic struggle between two star nations battling for dominance--and survival. Enter into the life of Maverick, talk to your wingmen on the ship and in outer space, or pursue a romantic relationship with a fellow pilot dancing on the razor’s edge.

Oh boy do I remember the Matrox Millenium. Mine came with Destruction Derby, which I loved...but the box in which the video card came in had this freaky looking clown face on it.

If the box had a clown face then you had a Matrox Mystique and not a Millennium, you n00b!
The Millennium came out first and it was always the "professional" 2D card with basic 3D functionality while the Mystique was the gamer variant.
A couple years after WC3, a lot of people in the mid 90s had a Millennium for 2D (Windows/Office) plus a 3Dfx Voodoo for gaming. The Mystique became completely useless once the Voodoo and other better 3D cards came out because Voodoo > TNT > ATI Rage 3D Pro > Mystique.

Ahh yes! You're right, it was a Matrox Mystique. Sheesh, much time has passed since then. The Mystique was an upgrade to an old Diamond video card with 512k vram. I can't recall at the moment the exact Diamond model that card was though. I do recall replacing that Mystique for a Diamond v770 AGP TNT 2 just to play SHOGO: MAD.

*reminisces*

You are right about the Millennium proliferating our school office computers. Twas a nice card when it came out!

I enjoyed WC: Privateer more so than WC3. Never tried WC4 though. Maybe after it hits GOG I'll pick that one up.

Don't ever mention My Buddy (and me)...what's with clowns and dolls.
