Space Marine MIA from U.K. Steam

The listing for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine seems to have disappeared from Steam in the U.K., according to Rock, Paper, Shotgun, where they are trying to learn why the action/RPG has gone missing. In the meantime they offer reassurances for those who have purchased the game elsewhere that they can still activate the game, which uses Steamworks, regardless of where it was purchased. We're guessing orks are at the bottom of this.

Simple answer then. Delist from GAME, and take out ads on TV/Radio stating the reason why. Reap in the bad press generated against GAME.

Wow, Game sounds like even bigger douchebags than Gamestop. Which I never thought possible. I feel sorry for you my UK brothers.

If anyone in the UK cares, you can get this from Best Buy for £25.99 (the label said £27.99, but it is cheaper when scanned) and it does activate on Steam

It is exactly this. GAME are threatening anyone who uses Steamworks with a full embargo on any game (and on any platform) that contains Steamworks.

The only way to appease them is to delist the title from the Steam store.

It's not been on Steam for months in the UK. The pre-order was never there and neither was the demo, people have been complaining about it for quite a while. It's believed that Game have threatened THQ with an embargo on it's games in their brick and mortar stores if they also sell via Steam in the UK, but no-one in any of the companies will officially say anything about it.

I find that a lot of reviews are either skimming over the multiplayer or have simply ignored it which is a real shame because I only hear good things about it and Co-op will be quite entertaining when it arrives!

Except it's not going to be campaign co-op - just some independent fight-fests.

Valve may want to start caring about all these little problems considering competition is starting to grow. kthx

I agree, more Multiplayer Modes and Content is all the game really needs to make it better. The multi is pretty damn fun.

And as far as Killstreaks, No. Just No. Thats part of the reason i started to hate COD so much. Not that I didn't get them, I did, they were just to easy to get and farm the other team. There was one team game, I forget what it was called, Demolition? The one where the bomb starts in the middle I believe. In Black Ops obviously. That I was able to get 2 blackhawk kill streaks and use both in the match.... I ended 116 and 3 do to the blackhawk runs. granted it was partially because the server had instant or very low 2 or 3 second respawns and it allowed me to farm them from the sky. But still. it just makes the game stupid.

There is a lot here for fans of the Warhammer 40k universe. The detail in how you can make your space marine look in multiplayer is impressive. Way more options than you'd expect.

I hope they are planning on adding to the MP side of this game. It needs more game modes. The biggest thing missing for me is vehicles. Even in the sp campaign it's a little too infantry focus'd. Can't fix that now but with MP you could offer a game mode where one team of 4 or so took control of a land raider or multiple land raiders and needed to drive them to safety. The other team would be devastators and would need to blow them up before they reached their goal.

I haven't played through the campaign very far so this is assuming vehicles are in the game. I fought a flying machine ork thing but that wasn't anything you'd see on a battlefield typically.

And it's really frustrating that there are killstreaks in this game but nothing to call in after you've gotten 3 kills+. No Thunderhawk straffing run, no landspeeder napalm strike, no deep striking terminators. It just records that you got a killstreak..woohoo.

How about you drop a dreadnaught behind me!
