Gearbox Seeks Borderlands Feedback

Gearbox Software tweets a request for feedback on a Borderlands 2 Collectors Edition: "What would you guys like to see in a Borderlands 2 Collectors Edition? Tweet us back and share some of your suggestions!" There's a Borderlands Collectors Edition Suggestions thread on the Gearbox Software Forums, and we're told they are also watching feedback threads on forums such as ours, so you can post your suggestions here or there rather than tweet them. Further to their quest for feedback, they also have a Borderlands Fan Survey offering the "chance to influence the future of the Borderlands franchise."

How about an option to disable Cell Shading in the collectors edition?

This. Did not buy because toon games do not appeal to me, especially with my $450 graphics card.

All the prospective DLC over the lifetime of the game?

Honestly, keep the crap figurines, tin boxes, maps, geegaws and other BS and just give us a complete game from day one...

Ewww... I realize some people don't like the style (took a bit for it to grow on me), but it's not a magic switch...

Some of the effect is done at render time, but the assets are built with this in mind, and turning off the render-time portion would make it look like ass... Or assier, for those that already don't like it : )

I, for one, would like to see a DLC pack for the first game that gives it a proper ending. Also, a new keyboard. To be denied the moneyshot after that boss fight cost my keyboard dearly Mr. Pitchford.

Working multiplayer, some attempt at depth after the first area, everything else mentioned here.

Spend some time and effort to actually do a decent PC port. Otherwise, no complaints here. Totally dug the first one and can't wait for the second.

Also - DO NOT use always-on DRM, or I'll cry.

and when you make it coop, actually have coop play, like people being able to do the same missions without having one or two guys having to go back and do 14 missions to catch up with you so your on the same mission line.
Nothing more frustrating than trying to play with friends and everyone has different points they're at and no one gets mission credit except for one person.

I'd prefer they release the game with no DRM, and then not add SecuRom in a patch shortly after release.

Don't put always on drm in the game.

And don't do any of the exclusive pre-order crap either.

I know it's fashionable to hate, but I actually like Borderlands a lot. It just needed more TLC for the PC version. I gave them my honest opinions. More rare random weapons, diverse skill trees, and better PC specific options, and I'll be happy. There shouldn't be one option that you have to edit in an *.ini file.

Working multiplayer out of the gate? FOV adjustment? A GUI that works ok with mouse/keyboard?

Oh wait, I want that for regular edition.

I'm sorry Gearbox, I just don't have time to write a novel.
