There's a preview on GameSpot with a first look at Quantum Conundrum, the first project from Portal co-creator Kim Swift since she left Valve for Airtight Games. Like Portal, the game is a first-person puzzle platformer based around a physics device: Word is it is: "set in an inexplicably large mansion with themes heavily rooted in science. Your puzzle-solving tool is an IDS (interdimensional shift device) glove that lets you shift dimensions--therefore changing the physics of your environment--as you make your way down to the bowels of the manor." They outline some of the puzzles they experienced, and describe the project as "a funny, charming, and quirky puzzle platformer that would appeal to gamers of all ages and skill levels." The game will offer four to six hours of play when it is released early next year for Windows and consoles, and they offer a trailer narrated by Swift showing Quantum Conundrum in action. Thanks nin.
