Skyrim Using Steamworks

A Bethesda Tweet has word that Bethesda's RPG sequel The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will use Steamworks, saying simply: "We can confirm today that we're using Steamworks for Skyrim."

Bethesda games used disc checks only before New Vegas went Steamworks, so not a good thing. Less DRM is always better than more.

Ugh, simply can't get away from Steam in new games, what a shame.

Not that I think steam is going to go permanently offline at some point, but it invalidates buying physical copies to me.

On the plus side, I can wait a year for the 10 dollar or less sale, when the game is patched and modded to playability!

I doubt there will be any multiplayer, bigspender. It's Steamworks for DRM and bullshit achievements only.
