I think to be honest mate, the dude got flamed when he attempted to say diabllo wasnt a click fest. That was possibly the daftest comment i have heard in years.

LoL , HoN, DotA, even demigod all have really harsh communitys. its a shame because the game is great fun with mates.

Everyone on Bluesnews is synical, get over it.
edit: i cant spell, this is my disclaimer.

As a person who does play this game and actively participates in their community I will tell you it can be fun at times. It has its elitist, as with just about any game now a days. I used to WoW and that could burn up all of your day. This just does it in 30-60min intervals. Being an older person I don't play much 5v5 or 3v3 because I can't stand the trolling/raging/quitting done by some people, and when there are 9 other people the chances increases dramatically. We do have a great automated systems that monitors for people that leave or quit and assigns suspensions to them appropriately. And until recently we had a Tribunal system where any level 30 summoner could participate. You would review "cases" of people for AFK'ing, swearing, you name it and decide to punish or pardon them. People who got punished got pushed to Riot's support staff to get assigned an appropriate punishment.
Anyways, enough of my rant. Its a great game for a great price.
See you on the battlefield summoner.

yeah, no thanks. This seems like playing a game with the people who comment on Youtube.

In their defense, the negativity below was not started by fans of the game, but vice versa. The first poster actually made a legitimate point as to why he didn't like it, stating he personally didn't have any luck with comebacks. *to answer his question though, I've had some fantastic comebacks in games where I thought we were originally being dominated* Again, he didn't like the game, but that is okay because he actually posted a fair assessment in his own mind as to why not.

However the second poster then came around and implied that the game was garbage and he has no idea why anyone could possibly enjoy it... because you had to "click too much". Forget about praising the game because his own son is enjoying it for FREE, which he should be grateful for, but instead he wants to insult the game over a ludicrous reason. So he got called out on it, as he should have. Then his response with his second post is an equally ludicrous one, stating two well known clickfest games required very little clicking. Even I, who will normally try to debate logically, had to resist the urge to rudely respond. So to insinuate that you won't try the game because of the players is hardly just or fair. EVERY game has it's bad apples, whether that's chess, candyland, or any random MMO. If you don't try this game because of it, it's your own loss, because the game actually has a solid community of positive people who enjoy it and play everyday.

Sorry, but Diablo or Star Craft never required you to click the mouse rapidly in succession over and over. And please, don’t assume you know me or what I’ve played, because you don’t!

Diablo doesn't require you to click the mouse rapidly in succession over and over? Seriously? Diablo is practically defined by the term clickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclick.

As for LoL, well, your kid is probably good at it. Ask him to smurf and teach you how to play, maybe you'll get it, maybe you won't. It sounds like you might be terribad at games, we could always use more cannon fodder like you in the Summoner's Rift.

The community isn't much different 'as a whole', but seeing as LoL's entry barrier is non-existent being free, there's just far more people there...so you have a hit and miss opportunity.

Most of the people I've played with aren't that bad, but yea, there are bad apples.

And yes, there is a 5v5 versus bots...but again, that doesn't always stop the asshats.

I downloaded this game about six months ago on a whim, based on the fact that PC Gamer gave it Game of the Year honors. At first I didn't think much, but after awhile it grew on me, and I still play several games a week. It really is a fantastic game, simultaneously rewards strategy and coordination. Its also a perfect game for short play sessions, 3 vs 3s last 30 minutes on average. If you're even remotely curious I would encourage you to check it out.

You seem to imply the game is based on whoever clicking faster being the winner, which is pretty fucking stupid, so you deserve whatever you get.

I'm one of those players that plays everyday. I find the game quite fun. The addition of Co-op vs. AI was a huge boon, despite the AI bots still being rather daft. It allows us to continue to accrue IP while playing around with our builds - a nice little sandbox.

To the poster that said that the games were decided early. Some games are like that depending on how awful you fed the other team, but I've also played games where I've staged a comeback from no towers/no inhibs to ace'ing their team and taking the victory. A lot of it depends on the willingness of your team to pick heroes to fill out the weaknesses of your team composition. Sometimes that isn't always possible, but it's still a good bit of fun each night for me.

Why does it matter if there are over 1.4 million people playing it every single day? Most games would give anything to have 10% of that number, hell, even 2% of that number.

While it's free to play, a look at high level gameplay could help decide whether one would be interested in playing. For example, the dreamhack finals of the season one championship had a few great games.

I tried that game about a year ago. It was cute and fun for a while. I thought it was too hard to make a comeback though. Once you start to lose the game is over. Maybe it's different now.
