Crysis 2 has a map pack sold within the game and through Direct2Drive but not on Steam. Someone from Crytek stated they made a deal with Direct2Drive for exclusivity and Steam dropped them because of it. Crysis 2 was pulled from Steam the day before the map pack released.
Interesting. I was looking around in Crysis 2 last night and couldn't find anything being sold. But I have the Steam version of Crysis 2, so maybe it's not functional in there. Which brings us back to who's right and who is wrong.
I said this when these events first started, still seems to apply...if EA is trying to circumvent Steam by selling DLC from within game, or through another vendor and not allowing Steam equal opportunity...then Valve has every right to kick Crysis 2 off Steam.
Assuming StingingVelvet's info is correct, seems like EA/Crytek made a really stupid move on their part.
