Far Cry 3 Alternate E3 Trailer [Jul 08, 2011, 11:21 am ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
This trailer from Far Cry 3 shows an alternate way to play through the mission from the game's E3 presentation. The clip shows a stealthier approach as game designer game designer Andrea Zanini tries to GET TO DA CHOPPA by snapping a neck, sneaking through the jungle, doing a little sniping, and regaining the element of surprise after alerting the enemy to his presence.

It looks awesome, but how will the AI be? Bugs? Play with console controls?

The E3 version is so cool!! That guy, Vas, has such awesome facual expressions and body-language!

I thought Hollywood had hit rock buttom. Then this happened.
Not sure the game will keep this momentum, but it looks awesome.

Looks pretty cool, though for a game that flaunts how diverse it is in the way you can go about a level, it has a lot of linear touches.
I also saw quite a few scripted events that play out the exact same every time you play the level (ie. the baddies running out from cover right before you make it to the chopper.
Then again, this appears to be early in the game.. hopefully the rest of the game allows for more freedom, and less obvious coincidences, as someone joked about below.
I was especially impressed by the voice acting, animation and overall situation that happens before you escape (seen in the other trailer). That was awesome.

Do I think I would find this game entertaining? Yes. Would I be willing to pay $50-60 for it? Nope.
There was a message that the player had an additional skill point, which I'm guessing these scores count towards. I'd guess there's a very light weight RPG element, probably just a handful of skills that you can upgrade.

What is it? Is it just for an achievement (lame)? Or are there RPG elements in the game?
Immersion killer for me. Agreed. Should have an option to turn them off.
What do you guys think of the +10 you see during a kill?
I would very much like for them to have that be something you could turn off.
Looks pretty cool. That stealth takedown radius is pretty huge, though. He triggered it from like 10 feet away.
