I was dissapointed with the Space Marines, they don't look nearly as epic as they are in the novels. They don't look much bigger than a normal human wearing platemail would be.

There almost is no such thing as standardized canon in the 40k universe. Especially in the novels. The power level and abilities of the Space Marines varies so incredibly wildly throughout the literature canon that it's insane. In one story they're slightly better than the best human soldiers, in others they're walking deities, and everything in between.

I think a 40K Space Marine would tell you that cover is for cowards.

Or: Space marines don't take cover, they *are* the cover.

Mounds of orks are cover.

And besides, at what point would it just become Gears of War with Warhammer 40K graphics?

Well it should definitely be polished after 39,999 attempts!

Hopefully they get this right!! Although I would have prefered a FPS in the setting, if this turns out half as good as Arkham Asylum its going to be kickass!
I have a nifty blue line!
