Ok lets be realistic here, unless Nintendo FINALLY puts out hardware to match the 360 or PS3, Microsoft and Sony have nothing to worry about.
Rampant speculation claims it'll be more powerful that current MS/Sony fare, but I'm sure, even if that's the case, it'll get leapfrogged in a few years.
PSN outages could last for days.
They should use Portals....
Ok lets be realistic here, unless Nintendo FINALLY puts out hardware to match the 360 or PS3, Microsoft and Sony have nothing to worry about. Oh and it needs to have a 'real' controller, not a waggle wand.
If they do announce a Wii 2, this will put major pressure on Microsoft and Sony to update their consoles which are woefully out of date.

Fork you, Sony! I need PSN to come up so I can link Steam with it, so I can play Portal 2 on the PC.

On the topic of touch screen wii controller... wow what an idea. Instead of intrusive interfaces or submenus I get a separate screen, with more buttons? that's a game changer if I've ever seen one

They have denied responsibility, they are planing an attack when PSN is back up. They will not target PSN or the customers because that is who they are trying to support.
The PSN outage seems odd. I can still connect to services like steam and lay portal 2 online...I wonder if this outage isn't anon again. Maybe they found a way to hammer the online store portion of psn in a way where online games aren't affected?
Seems suspicious...would be more effective to hack their systems anyway and break things internally that are harder to find...
