I just don't understand why they use console gameplay for demo footage, the aiming is so horribly stilted it's a major turnoff.

Wait, what? Quake had varied settings? Everything looked pretty much the same to me. In my mind, Quake has always been about MP. That's why Q3 is my favorite in the series.
