PC Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Includes DLC [Feb 22, 2011, 2:52 pm ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
Ubisoft announces details about the upcoming Windows edition of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, offering system specifications for the stealth/action sequel that's due in North America on March 22nd. They also announce two different editions of the game, confirming our suspicions that The Da Vinci Disappearance DLC that was only announced for consoles will be included in each PC SKU. There will be a standard edition that includes the game plus Abstergo Project (Project Animus) Update 1.0 and 2.0 and The Da Vinci Disappearance priced at $49.99 to be available via both retail and digital, and a Digital Deluxe Edition (obviously to only be available via digital distribution) with all the content of the standard edition plus two multiplayer characters, two single-player maps, a skin, and additional multimedia content which will be $59.99 USD. This version is available for preorder for a limited time on the UBIShop for the same price as the standard edition. Some screenshots accompany the announcement, as well as the following system requirements.

Any word on the DRM for this? There's no mention of it needing an internet connection in the required specs.

They haven't confirmed officially, to my knowledge.

In before people rage about Ubisoft DRM that hasn't even been announced yet.
Technically they could have "need an online connection" in there for the multiplayer section of the game but you don't see that in there either so it's hard to say.

Well, they certainty earned it.
Rage about Ubisoft's DRM is entirely justified imho. Unfortunately this port is coming very late and being released in a busy spot so I doubt it will get much attention. It's a shame because it's an awesome game. Anyway I hope that they give it a real chance and remove the DRM, it's already competing with other big name titles so it needs every little positive tickbox they can think of.
If I see "a constant internet connection is required to play this game" then I'll wait until the bargain bin solely for collector sake - since I did the same thing to AC2..

I wouldn't go as far to say I'd get it day one but if it lost the UbiDRM (including connection required on start-up) I'd certainly get it a month or two down the line.
It makes sense to wait it out when it has the DRM shit on it. Usually when valusoft re-releases an ubi game they get rid of drm. that was the case with splinter cell chaos theory that removed the starforce rubbish off it.
With that said, if it didn't have it, I would day1 it simply out of support - to show them that its not needed.

Seriously hoping that they smarten up about their ridiculous DRM. And remove it from Silent Hunter 5 while they're at it.

Yeah as much as I want to play this I'm not touching it till the DRM news gets out.
