Crytek has been alerted that an early incomplete, unfinished build of Crysis 2 has appeared on Torrent sites. Crytek and EA are deeply disappointed by the news. We encourage fans to support the game and the development team by waiting and purchasing the final, polished game on March 22. Crysis 2 is still in development and promises to be the ultimate action blockbuster as the series’ signature Nanosuit lets you be the weapon as you defend NYC from an alien invasion. Piracy continues to damage the PC packaged goods market and the PC development community.
This was an intentional leak, no doubt about it.

Isn't that EXACTLY what he said his theory was?

Your use of "corporate suits" also makes you sound dimwitted. Also makes it sound like you've never been inside a corporation, much less a video game company. And you've definitely never had a position of any impact, a "suit" as you call it.
Other than a disgruntled employee, just tell me why this would be an intentional leak.
Well yes, they want to fuck me out of my money. I
The sole reason corporations exist is to make money for their shareholders.
My thinking was that this was an intentional leak, but that it was done by one or more of the devs, NOT the corporate suits in charge

After this, we could bet on what stupid number he'll say this time. 100x?. 300x?. 6 billion units?.

True. But like someone said above, would they really HAVE to get THIS game ? It's not like it's a vital product. They couldnt have it for free, they wouldnt buy it. That's what everyone knows since the age of free radios..

Now if EA only makes $40 million gross sales revenue (random figure) on Crysis2, they will claim they would have made double that without people copying their game... See that coming already.

I wonder if this thread has broken any records at Blues for the most post count.

- some people dislike paying for things if they can avoid it

Fair point, advertising seems to sell games more than merit these days after all.

Yes and no, the new method of PSN spoofing is indistinguishable from a legit PS3. Sony could technically start implementing proper disk checks but those are easily circumvented too. Either way Killzone 3 will sell on it's own merits, the leak will have little impact on it.
