Out of the Blue

Happy Groundhog Day, as today is… no wait, just kidding. As I mentioned last night, yesterday was the intersection of two running gags here, as the Chinese New Year and the day after Groundhog Day converged (this should explain that for those unfamiliar). Now I have to figure out why I keep waking up to Sonny and Cher on the clock radio.

R.I.P.: 'Last Tango in Paris' actress Maria Schneider had a turbulent life.

Ok I'm going to be the grinch here. First of all, I think ground hog day is the dumbest "holiday" of the year, and the perennial tradition of repeating it just makes it that much more annoying.

Just wait till April 1st... PINK NEWS DAY!

BBQ with friends tonight, I think as an experiment I will hang onto people when they give me the 3 second hug, see when things start to get awkward.
Supposed to get up into the 90's today & it will be light right up untill 9.30pm, hows your Winter going? .... sorry get me back in August.

Sounds like a great time for a star party. Show 'em the Southern Cross. Tonight we have our observatory meeting, I made a powerpoint presentation for the friend I spent time with down in Everglades last month that he is going to show when we saw the Southern Cross (my first time) just barely above the horizon right before morning twilight.

According to this page:

World of Warcraft (12 million subscribers)
  • World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade [expansion pack] (3.5 million)
  • World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King [expansion pack] (4 million)
  • World of Warcraft: Cataclysm [expansion pack] (4.7 million)
Anyone noticed the growing trend with WOW expansions sales? I thought the rule of thumb is sales numbers drop by double digit percentages with each expansion.

Probably has to do with people having multiple accounts.

So, if the groundhog sees his shadow, no Chinese New Year for 3 years, right?

Groundhog day is not a holiday, and obviously you guys have not seen the movie we all are referring to, judging from your comments.
