Battlefield 3 News Tomorrow?

Following the "watch this space for some exciting news I think you’ll like" Battlefield 3 tease in today's PC BF1943 cancellation announcement, Planet Battlefield notes a few tweets from DICE employees suggesting there will be some BF3 news tomorrow (thanks Ant). Since everyone loves an announcement about an announcement, here goes:
@locust9 - David Goldfarb
Lead designer and writer at DICE. Lead designer Battlefield 3.

    You guys ready for tomorrow? You sure? Really really sure? #BF3

@ViktorALundberg - Viktor Lundberg
Level Designer For BF3

    Tomorrow is going to be rad. That's all I have to say about that!

@Riviera75 - Peter Engström
Frostbite coder at EA DICE

    Isn't it tomorrow yet!?

Let me guess.

Either some uninteresting news, or a trailer being played on a console.

I have a feeling DICE's future may depend on BF3's success or not. They may have won brownie points with the upper management with BC2 but MoH and NFS:HP took away all those brownies and left some coals.

Either way, I don't expect BF3 to be nothing more than an enhanced Bad Company 2.

I have HUGE hopes for BF3...I'm really putting all my eggs in one basket for this game. I expect it to be quite different from BC2 although looking at my Steam account I have 167 HOURS in BC2...lol. I really hope it's closer to Project Reality.

It'll just be a shorter, buggier rehash of everything that's come before it. DICE sucks and so do these games. Now, Brink, there's a game that will actually move things forward in a good way.

Well apparently the game's been in development since before they started developing BC2, right? There's a reasonable expectation that it won't be BC3, but tomorrow we'll know more.

Yes, if they had a hardcore mode that copied Project Reality then that would redeem 2011 and perhaps even the global recession. If they didn't I sincerely hope the game has full mod support so we can get PR2.

(lol 167 hours, nice..)

The immediate right out of the gate key to getting PC players optimistic is to announce 64 players on the PC. That is fucking essential.

Bad Company 2 was a great game, most PC gamers I know loved it despite some "consolitus" here and there. It gives plenty of reason to be excited about BF3, but they need that 64 player number right out of the gate or they are just going to get pounded with negativity.

I wish I knew what you were smoking. Why would any current title be like a PC mod designed to improve realism?

I hope for a return to 1942-levels of arcade combined-arms gameplay.

PR is nice but when I want realism I play Arma 2. Battlefield is about arcade fun, realism go to hell.
