The real problem here is that the FCC is not directly accountable to us, the voters. It should be Congress, not a 5-member commission of bureaucrats, that makes this decision. When will this nation wake up and realize that the current administration is ignoring the Constitutional system of checks and balances and is essentially legislating through its regulatory activity?

you want to categorize issues uselessly as either left or right? which is either a response to your limited reasoning ability or your purposefull attempt to obfuscate the issue. left or right, christian or muslim, with us or against us are all divides created and nurtured to keep ppl focused on the meaningless and trite. whats really hapenning here is the last bastion of true democracy under assault by the corporate greed beasts. the only thing obama does is pander to the whims of his corporate puppetiers, much like the last president, or the many the came before, except at least obama gives the perception of moderate intelligence, and judgement. it almost gives you the feeling it's your interests he's catering to and not the collective wealthy.

p.s. blue did not write the article or headline from huffpost you're huffing about.

Well said, Bravo! Gone are the days of left and right, red or blue, white or black. Money rules all. Corporations dont really care what race you are, what religion you subscribe to or even who you vote for....as long as its their guy and its always their guy
I have a nifty blue line!

All you multiplayer gamers out there: say buh-bye to low latency multiplayer games. All the bandwidth will be sucked up by streaming video from the likes of Netflix, MS, Sony, etc.
RIP RedEye9. We miss you.

That rant on HuffPo pretty much sums up my feeling on this topic.

Which is what makes it difficult to argue with LittleMe. He for some reason thinks that unregulated corporate control of the internet would be different than Corporate/government control of the internet.

I don't want either of those. All I want is common sense regulation simply guaranteeing that all data will be treated equally regardless of content.

We didn't get that, and that is why this bill is worse than doing nothing and regretfully makes LittleMe correct. It's just not what anyone (except the corporations and their politicians) wanted.

The domains were simply seized, and while it did happen with a court order, the sites were not given any chance to respond and none appears to be forthcoming.

Just think of all the jobs we could create with a new federal War on Piracy. Now there's a productive industry just waiting to blossom!
